BERLMAN Ergonomic Office Chair

Is The BERLMAN Ergonomic Office Chair Comfortable And Supportive?

Office chairs like the BERLMAN Ergonomic Office Chair go for the less is more approach to design and features.

This can often work out for the best if there is still enough comfort and support, without anything weird getting in the way.

There are hopes here because of the headrest, use of materials and promise of a rocker backrest.

But, does this desk chair actually do enough to support workers throughout the day? Or, could it use some extra features somewhere?

The Pros and Cons of this BERLMAN Ergonomic High Back Mesh Office Chair

Pros:

  •  Plenty of breathable mesh and cushioning to help users throughout the day
  •  A fair weight capacity on a strong base with smooth casters
  •  Some practical features for working at a desk or other workstation

Cons:

  •  Not as adjustable as hoped for in some areas
  •  Not ideal for taller users either because of the headrest

The BERLMAN Ergonomic Desk Chair has a standard design with some tried-and-tested features on board.

Feedback for this chair suggests that it is comfortable for long shifts of work. This is mostly due to the combination of the mesh backrest for a cooler feel and the high-density sponge on the seat.

But, it also helps that there is a lumbar support system in that backrest and a wider seat than average.

As for the practical side of this computer chair, the slim profile and manoeuvrable base mean you can wheel this around and use it at different desks and workstations. You can also flip the armrests out of the way if you need to. That base also has a 250lb weight capacity, which should be enough for most users.

Other than that, there isn’t too much to say about the features because this is a more minimalist chair. It seems that the designers just want people to sit in comfort. This no thrill approach does have its limitations, however.

The main issue with this BERLMAN Black Mesh Chair is the lack of adjustments.

There is a rocking backrest on this model with a bit of a recline, while it can be locked into place, it is not that deep. Also, the headrest is not adjustable enough for those 5ft8 and taller.

And, there isn’t that much movement to the armrests other than the folding feature. Therefore, this chair isn’t going to do as much as a lot of other office chairs with a similar look.

What does this all mean for the final verdict on this BERLMAN Ergonomic Task Chair?

There are some clear pros and cons here. On the negative side, the lack of adjustments and movement could inhibit some users across the day. If you are used to something with a napping function or 3D armrest then this might feel a bit basic.

But, on the positive side, there are still some minor adjustments, plenty of comfort features and a nice look with the all-black design. Therefore, the BERLMAN office chair can still work in communal offices where there are lower expectations.
